School in Rome

Today I visited a school in Rome. It is an international school. Only about 1/3 of the students are native Italians, the rest are from all over the world. In Rome there is a United Nations office. People who work there send their children to this school. There are also sons and daughters of people who work at embassies. The countries that the different students are from are represented by flags that are hanging in the center of the building.

The other day I visited our sister school, Biddick Academy. Students’ summer break lasts about six weeks. They go back to school sometime next week. The school is in Newcastle, England.

Trinity College and the Book of Kells

Trinity College is Ireland's oldest university. It was first founded in the year 1592. It was great to walk around. The world famous Book of Kells is on display here. This book is from the 800's AD. It has part of the Bible written in Latin.
