Hindi

Hindi is the name of the most commonly spoken language in India. It is the national language of the country along with English. Most people I've found only speak Hindi. Whether or not someone knows English depends on what school they attended. Some schools only teach in Hindi with Hindi textbooks, whereas other schools-usually the more expensive and at times Catholic schools-teach the almost all of the subjects in English.

Themes

I plan on checking out countries' literature, history, culture, language, religion, architecture, geography, current events, government, currency, UNESCO World Heritage Sites, and any other fun trivia I come across.  My posts will be labeled with these categories so that you may go back and see every post that falls into these different themes. I encourage you to discuss these different topics with your friends, family, and teachers. Feel free to comment on the posts if you have any questions or just want to let me know your thoughts on a certain subject. I believe this blog will be a great resource that I hope you take advantage of.
